1. Scope and developer
This policy covers the current local-storage version of Stepora and related website and email support. The developer and person responsible for personal information is 姜秉训 (Jiang Bingxun), operating under Toolsmith Studio (器匠工作室). Contact: ytjiangbx@163.com.
2. Data and purposes
Checklist items and their order, the current preparation snapshot, start and action-recording times, the latest completion time and count summary, language selection and onboarding state are stored in app storage on your device. They are used to show checklists, record progress, resume the current preparation and display a summary. This version requires no account, does not send this data to a developer server, has no advertising, analytics SDKs or tracking services, and does not sell personal information.
3. Local storage and retention
Your checklist remains until you edit or delete it. The app retains only the current preparation and most recent completion summary, rather than a full history. Starting a new preparation replaces the previous summary; finishing replaces the current preparation records with a summary. Data uses atomic writes and iOS file protection. The app data directory is configured to be excluded from system cloud backups. There is no cloud sync or in-app backup export. iOS manages system diagnostics, device migration and device management; this does not guarantee that every system or user-created copy is excluded or deleted.
4. Deletion and controls
You can delete individual checklist items. An active preparation uses a separate snapshot, so editing the checklist does not automatically change that snapshot. In Guidance & privacy, confirm Delete all app data to clear the checklist, current progress and latest summary. Language preference and the completed-onboarding state are retained. This deletion cannot be undone. Use iOS Delete App to remove complete local app storage; Offload App may retain documents and data. Manage separately created copies at their respective locations. The developer cannot remotely restore or delete records on your device.
5. Permissions and external links
This version does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or HealthKit access and does not detect the state of locks, water, electrical appliances or gas. When you choose an external resource link in the app, your browser visits a third-party website, which may receive information such as your IP address and process it under its own privacy policy. Your checklist and current records are not automatically uploaded with those links.
6. Scope of use
Stepora is an everyday checklist tool. It does not require diagnostic or medical information and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or a guarantee of real-world safety. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal information in items or support emails.
7. Support emails
When you email us, the developer receives your email address, message and any attachments you choose to provide to respond, troubleshoot and handle privacy requests. Emails are processed through the 163 email service. Prefer app and system versions and a necessary problem description; do not send full identity numbers, insurance documents or unredacted sensitive images. Support emails are retained only while needed to resolve the issue and follow up, then deleted unless retention is legally required. You may email us to request access, correction or deletion of support information held by the developer.
8. Website visits and third-party services
This support website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit, Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP address, request time and browser details to deliver, operate and protect the service. This is separate from records stored locally in Stepora. The website does not add advertising trackers, require login or provide a file-upload form. Processing by Cloudflare and the email provider is also governed by their respective privacy policies.
9. Policy updates and contact
If our data practices change, we will update this page and its effective date and, where appropriate, notify users of material changes in the app. Any future sync or other services will be described according to their actual behavior.
