1. Scope and developer
This policy covers the current local-storage version of Keeptil and related support provided through this website and email. The developer and person responsible for personal information is 姜秉训 (Jiang Bingxun), operating under the brand Toolsmith Studio (器匠工作室). Contact: ytjiangbx@163.com.
2. Data within the app
Item names, categories, dates, notes, document images, recognized text, reminder settings and completion records that you enter or select are used to display, search and edit items and schedule reminders. They are stored in the app's storage on your device and are not sent to a developer server by this version. The developer cannot remotely access these records. No account is required. The app has no third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs, does not track you across apps for advertising, and does not sell personal information.
3. Camera, photos and text recognition
Camera access is used when you choose to photograph a document. The system photo picker supplies images you select; the app does not scan your entire photo library. Apple Vision performs text recognition on your device. Images and recognized text help suggest names and dates and are saved with the item. You can enter items manually without camera permission. Deleting an in-app image copy does not delete the original from your photo library.
4. Notifications and permission controls
Notification permission is used for local expiry reminders, which may display an item's name and category. You can disable Keeptil notifications, change lock-screen previews or revoke camera permission in iOS Settings. You can still manage items without notifications, but related reminders will not appear normally. This version does not request location, contacts or microphone access.
5. Storage, backups and deletion
Records remain in local app storage until you delete the relevant items or app data. Deleting an item from its detail screen removes its associated in-app image and recognized text and cancels pending reminders for that item. You can manually clear notifications already delivered to Notification Center. The iOS Offload App option may retain documents and data and differs from Delete App. This version does not enable in-app iCloud sync, but app data may be included in your configured iCloud device backup or computer backup. Apple system settings control backup management, restoration and deletion. The developer cannot restore or delete records on your device or in your backups for you.
6. Support emails
When you email us, the developer receives your email address, message and any attachments you choose to provide to respond, troubleshoot and handle privacy requests. Emails are processed through the 163 email service. Prefer app and system versions and a necessary problem description; do not send full identity numbers, insurance documents or unredacted sensitive images. Support emails are retained only while needed to resolve the issue and follow up, then deleted unless retention is legally required. You may email us to request access, correction or deletion of support information held by the developer.
7. Website visits and third-party services
This support website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit, Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP address, request time and browser details to deliver, operate and protect the service. This is separate from records stored locally in Keeptil. The website does not add advertising trackers, require login or provide a file-upload form. Processing by Cloudflare and the email provider is also governed by their respective privacy policies.
8. Protection and children
Use system protections such as a device passcode and choose notification previews and backup settings carefully. Keeptil does not require age or registration information and does not actively collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information through a support email.
9. Policy updates and contact
If our data practices change, we will update this page and its effective date and, where appropriate, notify users of material changes in the app. Any future sync or other services will be described according to their actual behavior.
